Technical FAQs
What are the system requirements for viewing live broadcasts on the PropViewTV platform?
A browser that runs Internet Explorer, Chrome or Safari.
How do I know if I have the necessary system requirements?
On the PropViewTV registration page you will see a video player. If you can see and hear this video then you are good to go! If you are unable to view the video content you may need to try one of our help options displayed on the same webpage.
What do I do if I can’t see the test video?
One of the most likely reasons is that you don’t have Microsoft Silverlight downloaded on your PC/Mac. This can be downloaded from the registration page and should only take a couple of minutes and is both perfectly safe and free.
What happens if it still doesn’t work after downloading Microsoft Silverlight?
It may be the case that your own company IT settings (known as ‘proxy settings’) are restricting your ability to view video content. Please contact your IT department to see if this may be the case and they will explain what you need to do in order to view the broadcast.
What happens if it still doesn’t work after speaking to our IT Department?
Please call our help desk on (01530 811400).
Can I view the broadcast using an ipad or iphone?
Not at the moment but in the next few weeks it will be.
Can I view the broadcast using a Mac?
Yes you can, in the same way as you would with a PC provided Microsoft Silverlight is installed.
I can see the video but every so often it "freezes" and says "buffering" – what does this mean?
This could be the result of a slow internet connection at your location. Please contact your IT department or alternatively our help desk.
